Forget bubble baths: this is the real work (and beauty) of feminine embodiment

People always talk about feeling “disconnected”...But what does that really mean Haley?
Because from the outside, I was still doing the things.
Eating. Sleeping. Moving. Working.
But on the inside? There was uncertainty. Anxiety about the future. A fog of grief I hadn’t slowed down to feel. A restlessness that couldn’t be solved by another beautiful view out the van window. And that’s the thing... Disconnection isn’t always visible.
Sometimes, it’s just a quiet knowing: this isn’t it anymore.
So I made a call to pause vanlife for a while. To choose stillness.
And what I’ve discovered since then is that healing is far less about the grand gestures and far more about the daily devotion to listening to your body and letting her lead.
Here’s what I’ve been doing this month to reset my balance, and why each thing matters:
🧘🏻♀️ Daily yoga: Regulates your nervous system, so you don’t stay stuck in stress. This is less about “working out” and more about working in—coming home to your body, breath by breath. Taking the time to actually feel each muscle ripple and the heat build in your limbs as your hang there in each pose a few seconds past comfortable.
🥙 Eating three protein-rich meals: No more skipping meals or living off snacks. Food is fuel for emotional stability. Balanced blood sugar = calm, grounded energy + grounded nervous system.
📝 Morning pages: A raw, unfiltered brain-dump to clear the mental clutter. Letting it all out stream of consciousness style over three pages in my journal to help me come back to what’s true each morning. Learn the patterns of your thoughts and you'll see the beliefs that are running your life every day.
🧬 EFT (tapping): A few minutes of tapping helps me release old energy, frustrations and resentments, and shift into the emotion I want to feel that day: lightness, joy, motivation.
🧘🏻 Midday meditation: Whether it’s guided, silent, or a session with some reiki healing, I gift myself at least 20 minutes to lay down. To reset. To just be.
📵 Tech down by 8pm: I love my Kindle, but the rest? It can wait. My body knows when it’s time to wind down and this is the way we are physiologically designed to slow down as the sun does. I’m listening to her now.
🌧️ Letting the weather lead: It’s been raining for almost a month straight here and I've been flooded in most of this week. At first, I resisted and felt frustrated. Now, I see it as the invitation it is: slow down, go inward, soften.
This is hot girl healing.
Not the glossy, glowing kind (though she’ll show up again soon too) 💁🏻♀️But the kind that’s messy, honest, and tender. The kind that chooses slowness over hustle.
That trusts the rhythm of life. That stops forcing and starts flowing.
And this: this is my version of feminine embodiment.
Not performing calm. But practicing it.
Not trying to stay “on” all the time, but learning how to turn inward, reconnect, and begin again.
Reconnection isn’t instant: it takes time, love, and so much patience. But more than that, it takes deep emotional and energetic healing. Because for so many of us, rest doesn’t feel safe.
We were raised to believe that stillness is laziness, that emotions are weakness, and that our worth is tied to how much we produce.
This disconnection from our bodies, and from the energy that flows through them, is learnt behaviour and it's also generational (literally coded into our energetic blueprints). If you've ever felt like you were carrying a tonne of baggage that wasn't yours... that's because it's not, babe!
And without clearing the blocks that tell us we can’t or shouldn’t slow down, rest will always feel uncomfortable, even when we crave it most. In my Feminine Power 1:1 coaching container, I support women to heal both body and energy disconnection, so they can finally feel safe to rest, to feel, and to come home to themselves again.
Wherever you are today, I hope you know: you don’t have to earn rest. You just have to remember how to receive it.
